IRSPM 2024: PhD Courses not be missed!
IRSPM in pertnership with the Netherlands Institute of Governance to organise two PhD courses that will take place before and after the IRSPM Conference 2024
Network and Collaborative Governance: Theories, Methods and Practices
will take place on 13-15 April. It will feature guest lectures by Prof. Jenny Lewis from Melbourne University and Rianne Warsen from Erasmus University, with Erik Hans Klijn (course director) from Erasmus University and Joris Voets from Gent University, being instructors of this course.
This course explores the growing significance of collaborative and network governance in shaping public policy over the past three decades, engaging actors from various sectors and scales to address societal challenges. It aims to enhance understanding and practical skills in managing collaborative arrangements, fostering effective governance, innovation in policy making, and the delivery of public services.
Important to note that this course accounts for 4 ECTS, which includes the writing of a paper and preparing the literature. You can register for this course here
Introduction to Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) using R
will take place April 18 - 20 with Prof. Eva Thomann being the instructor for this course.
This course introduces students to the nuts and bolts of Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA), an innovative set-theoretic technique that allows for comparisons of small, intermediate or large numbers of cases in order to identify necessary and/or sufficient conditions for an outcome.
